The Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Welcome to Kenya

    Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival in Kenya, you will be greeted by your tour guide and host and transferred to your hotel for check in.

    In the evening you will enjoy a complimentary welcome dinner where you get to meet other travelers and receive your personalized Gojolley gift bag.

    You will settle in for the night, rest and get ready for the adventures that await you in the coming days!

  • Day 2

    Nairobi City Tour - Nairobi National Museum and Masai Market

    Explore the bustling city of Nairobi with this city tour and see all the top sites. Visit The Nairobi National Museum to gain some insight into the Kenyan people, their culture and the history of this beautiful country.

    Discover the Kenyatta International Convention Center; the third tallest building in Kenya, enjoy lunch in the revolving restaurant with a panoramic view of Nairobi city.

    End your day at the Masai Market, make sure to buy enough souvenirs and keepsakes from your time in Kenya.

  • Day 3

    More Nairobi adventures - safari game drive, Elephant sanctuary and Giraffe center experience

    Day three in Kenya is sure to be an unforgettable experience! You will be picked up from your hotel for a sunrise game drive at the Nairobi National Park. Get ready for an exciting sighting of some of Africa's big five.

    Pop over next door to the David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary to catch the feeding of the baby elephants. Today you will also get to learn about and feed some giraffes!

  • Day 4

    Cooking Class and Local Market Tour

    Today you will join a traditional Kenyan Cooking class and learn how to prepare Traditional Kenyan dishes using locally sourced ingredients from the local market.

    Under the guidance of your chef, you will visit the local market to shop for ingredients and create flavorful recipes like, Chapati, Ugali, Nyama Choma and then sit down to lunch on your creations.

  • Day 5

    Travel to Lamu and Sunset Dhow Cruise

    On Day Five, you will travel by air for about an hour to Lamu Island. An enchanting island founded in the 12th century off the shore of Kenya in the Indian Ocean.

    Upon arrival in Lamu, you will be transported by boat or donkey to your hotel as there are no vehicles on this Island.

    Later that evening you will enjoy an idyllic sunset cruise on a Traditional Dhow Boat.

    Note: Round-trip flights are typically around $250 and at your own cost.

  • Day 6

    Lamu Walking Tour

    Get ready to explore the beautiful city of Lamu on this Cultural and Historical Walking Tour.

    Discover the rich history of the island town and some of its many influences as you visit its landmarks including the Lamu Fort, the Lamu Museum and the Riyadh Mosque.

    You will stop for lunch and refreshments; this is your opportunity to try the infamous Lamu Pizza. Conclude your tour with a donkey ride to Shela.

  • Day 7

    Morning Yoga and back to Nairobi

    Today is your final full day in Kenya - make the most of it.

    Start the day with a private yoga session to unwind and relax before heading back to the hustle and bustle of Nairobi.

    Return to Nairobi by air and spend the rest of your day at will.

  • Day 8

    Goodbye Kenya. It’s a wrap!

    After one week of exploring, it’s finally time to say goodbye to Kenya. You’ll leave with memories and friendships to last a lifetime.
